Distribution Center Operations Specialist
The Distribution Center Operations Specialist supervises the projects of the Distribution Center Management. He/She ensures the smooth implementation of the Distribution Center Projects and other special projects initiatives the provision of technical supports needed for its successful implementation. He/She is task to head the interface transactions of the projects of Trade Marketing, Sales and Satellite Warehouses to Distribution Center operations and lead the cascade to Distribution Center for implementation.
Major Responsibilities:
1) DC Major Projects – Merli System (WMS) / Barcoding System
- Supervises the full implementation of WMS/Barcoding System to ensure that needed supports from DCTG are appropriately provided such as warehouse configuration, manpower, warehouse equipment requirements, supplies such as barcode stickers, computer forms, etc.
- Supervises the training of warehouse personnel given from the pre-stages of implementation until post implementation stages of the projects for record purposes and future references
- Serves as the point person of DCs for these projects roll-out in other warehouses ensuring that contracts, PRs, costs and budget monitoring as properly filed, monitored and controlled
- Monitors and collates reports of the result of WMS roll-out implementation in each site and the savings generated.
- Monitors systems maintenance and aligns reports needed by the management
2) DC Process Standardization Project / Satellite Warehouse Integration / Other Business Integration
- Supervises the standardization of DC processes, controls, report formats and sources of reports in collaboration with specialists
- Monitors the integration of processes of all DCs satellite and other businesses into Corporate-managed DCs to ensure alignment and smooth integration
- Ensures that timelines, agreements, and milestones of integrations are keep tract and report according to management expectations
- Supervises the training and cascade of processes during and after the integration of satellite and other businesses to Corp.-managed DCs and provide support appropriately and timely·
- Ensures that processes are well documented and cascaded to all Corp.-managed DCs in coordination with DCTG Specialists
3) FG Operations
- Serves as single point of contact for DC Operations by Marketing, Sales and other Departments ensuring that FG operations/projects are properly supported by DCs in terms of process implementation and controls as expected/communicated by project proponents. These projects include but not limited to the following:
i. Trade Deal and Promotional supports
ii. Product Depletion or flush-out programs
iii. Initial Products pipelining (Targets and volume requirements)
iv. New product roll-out (Item Information Sheets, booking memo, product storage specifications, etc)
v. Office Sales
- Ensures that departments concerned were get updates/status and results of the projects implemented
- Ensures completeness of special reports prepared by DCTG Analysts such as aged stocks, out of stocks and productivity reports.
4) Other tasks assigned by immediate superior
Qualifications:
- Graduate of any business-related course.
- With at least 3 years related work experience in a Supervisory role on DC Projects and/or on warehouse and inventory management of a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company.
- Must have at least 3 yrs experience in handling inventory using SAP.
- With working knowledge on SCM processes specifically on warehouse and inventory management preferable from FMCG company
- With experienced in handling of DC projects or related industry projects
- With strong customer service experience for internal stakeholders
- Knowledgeable in SAP, advanced MS Excel operations and other MS software
