Primary Responsibilities:

Coordination of Aircraft, Engine, APU, Landing Gear, or Component Insurance Claims

  • Informs Legal Affairs of possible insurance claims for damage to the aircraft based on estimated costs of the repair of such damage that will most likely exceed the insurance deductible amount
  • Coordinates with other Cebu Departments to collect data necessary for the aircraft damage insurance claim for submission to JG Corporate Insurance through Legal Affairs
  • Submits damage repair cost/expenses and supporting documents to support the claims
  • Submits the documents that certifies that the aircraft, engine, component or the like has been release to service.

Management of Aircraft, Engine and Component Warranty Claims

  • Manages Warranty Claims, including coordination with aircraft maintenance vendors regarding issues that may lead to warranty claims
  • Monitors the receipt of credit notes by the team from warranty claims
  • Ensures that valid warranty claimable defects and events that are discovered and reported, are filed and claimed accordingly

Management of Engineering Contractual Incentives

  • Monitors the receipt of data related to applicable engineering contractual incentives that may be claimed from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers, as explained and summarized by contract proponents or negotiators after finalization of these contracts
  • Manages and monitors the recording and claiming incentives, and the issuance and application of credit notes from OEMs and suppliers, through the existing incentives monitoring system managed and maintained by the Supervisor Warranty and Insurance.
  • Ensures earned incentives and credits are collected or applied
  • Periodically submits a report to the EFM Management regarding the status of the incentives and credits application, and the performance of the existing incentives monitoring system
  • Provides credit information to the EFM Contracts Administration Section for use in application against open OEM and supplier accounts

Management of Rotable Repair

  • Manage Material Controller liaising with the stores/warehouses/FMM for unserviceable turn-ins for components and issuance of Repair Order, this must be observed within agreed performance level.
  • Responsible for monitoring and administering component for repair, overhaul or shop visit in promptly manner.
  • Keep and establish list of approved repair vendors and secure proof and confirmation of the full capability list of the repair vendors.
  • Monitor the performance of Repair Organization based on the agreed or guaranteed repair turn-time.
  • Manage the exchange, loan or BER replacement, including but not limited to RTV (core return).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering or any related course
  • At least (10) years aviation or airline engineering related experience preferably in Material Management, Warranty Management and/or Contracts Management
  • The Manager should have a working knowledge of aircraft contracts, especially in provisions related to liabilities and insurance.
