The Survey CAD Technician performs tasks in Civil 3d to support construction, including processing various types of base data, from conventional survey, GPS survey, and aerial photogrammetry and lidar, as needed for layout of site development, including the computation of points for survey construction layout, and drafting as-built surveys.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Work with Survey Project Manager and Survey Project Surveyor to prioritize CAD tasks, as needed for construction layout, as-built surveys, and reduction of data for boundary and topographic surveys.
- Active part in QA/QC program for survey department.
- Maintain records of office documents and final surveys and of completed fieldwork.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices and regulations related to CAD techniques and technology.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Geodetic, GIS Engineering or any related field.
- At least7 years of work experience related to Survey Technician.
- Candidate should have experience using the following software:
- AutoCAD
- Civil 3D
- An understanding of CAD surfaces and layers, survey points, pen tables, etc. is preferred.
- Layer and file management experience is a plus.
- Candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook 365.
- Experience working with US based client is a must.
- Excellent English communication skills
- Time Management
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Amenable to work following Eastern time zone.
