International SOS is currently pooling for offshore nurses for potential offshore projects which are likely to be in the Middle East or Africa.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years current nurse experience in offshore vessels or platform
  • Hold a valid license to practice or medical registration from country of origin.
  • Hold a valid offshore certification such as BOSIET/FOET which is OPITO approved
  • Hold a valid ACLS and BLS certification (or be prepared to obtain at your own cost)
  • Hold a valid ATLS/ITLS or equivalent certification (or be prepared to obtain at your own cost)
  • Hold a valid passport
  • Hold a valid seaman’s book

Job Description:

  • Undertake clinical consultations and provide a high standard of service and care to patients attending the clinic;
  • Treat all clinical presentations to the minimal effective level of care in an effort to reduce client lost time exposure without compromising patient wellbeing or recovery times
  • Assist with the implementation of preventative medical care strategies
  • Assist with ensuring appropriate patient triage and flow within the clinic
  • Manage emergency notifications according to client’s medical emergency response plan and approved MERP
  • Manage the delivery of competent and professional health services
