Responsibilities

  • Prepare budget guidelines and implementation procedures as approved by Management.
  • Prepare macroeconomic assumptions to be used for the budget cycle.
  • Conducts site plant visits to kick-off the budget review process and to carry out budget review.
  • Create financial model geared to specific power plant technology.
  • Consolidate, on a per plant basis, all budget data and information provided by finance staff.
  • Prepare monthly variance analyses and consolidates monthly management reports for each company/plant.
  • Monitor plant performance against targets set by management.
  • Analyze the operating expenses for each company/plant.
  • Compute for the equivalent cost per P/kWh of the operating expenses.
  • Prepare an updated forecast based on the current facts and circumstances.
  • Evaluate request expenditures and budget to be realigned to other expenses and cost centers.
  • Conduct various financial analyses like valuation, due diligence work, tariff structuring and analysis, rate and formula review
  • Financial forecast for application and renewal of Certificate of Compliance to Energy
  • Schedule of liabilities for submission of Certificate of Endorsement to Department of
  • Energy
  • Justification of tariffs to Energy Regulatory Commission
  • Calculation of financial ratios like dscr, debt-quity, and others.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA/MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in corporate finance, accounting or in related field Knowledge with Microsoft Office applications (Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, Excel) with particular emphasis on MS Excel
  • Good understanding of the principles of corporate finance, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis
  • Financial modelling experience and understanding of financial statements
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a team-oriented and challenging fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Can work with minimum supervision
  • Must be willing to travel
