Job Description

  • Assist and manage the implementation of the Parent’s risk management framework across its Subsidiaries by carrying out necessary processes, tools, and systems in identifying, assessing, measuring, monitoring, and reporting risks.
  • Assist in developing processes to identify and analyze both existing and potential risks faced by the various Subsidiaries. This includes coordination with subsidiaries regarding financial reports for monthly consolidation.
  • Identify and assess all material risks including new and emerging risks on an entity-specific level with respect to the Parent’s risk management framework.
  • To implement a risk reporting framework that will assist senior management in understanding and managing the risk exposures throughout the group.
  • Integrate and align risk policies and procedures of the Subsidiaries with the risk appetite of the Parent.
  • Assists the subsidiaries with the implementation of compliance with BSP requirements. Cascade new circulars and reportorial requirements for subsidiaries as required by BSP.
  • Assist the Subsidiary Bank's Chief Risk Officer in monitoring and reporting Strategic, Financial, Operational, and Technological Risks and in reinforcing the risk management structure and processes.
  • Aid the Subsidiary Bank’s Chief Risk Officer in enhancing the design and implementation of the Risk Management structure of the Subsidiaries
  • Spearhead the creation of the Subsidiary’s Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)
  • Prepare subsidiaries risk reports, and assist the head in presenting to Risk Management Committee, and Corporate Governance Committee
  • Develops internal controls and monitoring processes to identify and analyze both existing and potential risks faced by financial and nonfinancial subsidiaries
  • Provides knowledge transfer sessions to subsidiaries’ risk officers to share expertise on different kinds of risks
  • Liaises with the different units and ensures reporting to internal stakeholders
  • Carry out any other duties which fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of this job description.
