Store Development Director
As the Store Development Director, you will be responsible for leading the design and development initiatives of our retail stores. You will play a key role in translating the brand identity into physical spaces, creating a compelling and immersive shopping experience for customers. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, project management skills, and a strong eye for design aesthetics.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement the store design strategy in alignment with the overall brand strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and merchandising, to ensure store designs support business objectives.
Design Leadership:
- Provide creative direction and leadership to internal design teams or external design agencies.
- Oversee the development of design concepts, ensuring they reflect the brand image and resonate with the target audience.
Project Management:
- Manage the end-to-end store development process, from conceptualization to construction and opening.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Budget Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets for store design and construction projects.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on design quality.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that store designs meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress and quality of construction.
Innovation and Trends:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations in retail design.
- Integrate new technologies and design concepts to enhance the overall customer experience.
Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and store managers.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as architects, designers, and contractors, to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in retail store design and development, with a focus on leadership roles.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
