Position Overview:
The Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing all commercial activities of the assigned construction site, ensuring accurate billing, effective collections, and optimized cash flow. This role focuses on managing financial performance, client relationships, and operational processes to drive profitability and efficiency. The Commercial Manager will lead a team, collaborate with internal departments, and serve as the primary liaison with clients to maintain financial discipline and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely billing for all manpower payouts, aligning with contract terms.
- Monitor collections, proactively follow up on overdue payments, and maintain a 30-day DBO.
- Analyze profitability per project and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Implement and improve commercial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain strong client relationships, addressing concerns and identifying new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Accounting, Treasury, HR) to streamline financial operations.
- Track and report key metrics, including billing accuracy, collection efficiency, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external contractual obligations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial or financial management, preferably in construction or manpower.
- Strong expertise in billing, collections, and cash flow management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficient in client management and negotiation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and manage teams.
- High level of integrity, adaptability, and openness to feedback.
