The Strategic Advisory Associate is primarily responsible in supporting the Head of Strategic Advisory in providing client coverage and transaction management of advisory and M&A deals. As the Lead in Real Estate Advisory, he/she shall also be primarily responsible for generating revenues specifically from real estate-related advisory engagements or sales. As the Sector (Real Estate and Financial Institutions) and Credit Specialist, he/she shall act as resource person for all deals requiring in depth analyses on the relevant sector and credit risk analyses and assessment, respectively.

- Provides client coverage at various levels in tandem with IB RMG, senior officers and other key relationship managers of the Bank identifying corporate relationship names with potential buy-side or sell-side M&A transactions and financial advisory engagements.
- Develops and maintains positive relations and professional links with clients, counterparts from other investment houses, and regulators to ensure deal flows and delivery of services and support for deal execution
- Develops innovative packages and/or instruments and designs financial structures customized to the needs of the sellers and/or the investors
- Provides clients and their decision makers with strategic and tactical advice in financial advisory and M&A transactions.
- Assists clients in negotiating the terms and conditions of a transaction, leading up to final documentation and completion.
- Builds financial models and perform valuation, prepares analyses and reports, and drafts mandate letters and term sheets, structure illustrations, and presentation decks.
- Assists the Head of Strategic Advisory in presenting team output to clients.
- Spot potential real estate advisory leads for BPI Capital to pursue and proceed to engage with the client to try and originate a mandate.
- Lead the deal team in executing the real estate advisory mandate and collect fee income.
- Provide [monthly/quarterly] updates on the real estate and financial institution sectors covering market performance, key players and their corresponding operational and financial performances, industry trends (local and regional), corporate news, fundraising exercises, regulatory updates, etc.
- Attend meetings with real estate clients and financial institution clients and provide views on industry trends (local and regional), valuation, competition, etc.
- Serve as subject matter expert and resource person for credit risk analyses.
