Implementation Specialist Job Summary
Implementation Engineers are responsible for understanding and assessing the changing needs of the business. They’re frequently asked to analyze the impacts of change, document and support communication between relevant groups and stakeholders, and capture requirements needed to initiate a change.
Many times, business analysts act as liaisons between clients and development teams. They become intermediaries who help support and translate needs across business units and functions.
Implementation Specialist Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prioritize requirements from various clients
- Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders
- Assess change-proposals and define solutions to help the organization achieve its goals
- Discover, organize, and clarify business needs and review/produce specifications for change
- Work with the Technical staff and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications.
- Work with the training team to document system scenarios and identify roles impacted to help develop a change management/training plan.
- Conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team.
- Facilitate and lead discussions with clients to gather information and understand their Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables related to EHR implementations.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation for EHR implementation projects.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization during EHR implementation.
- Lead the implementation of EHR systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Coordinate with technical teams to configure and customize EHR systems based on client requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure a smooth transition and timely go-live of EHR systems, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during the implementation phase.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to clients post-implementation to ensure optimal system performance.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in EHR implementation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
- Document and maintain comprehensive records of EHR implementation activities, including configurations, customizations, and client communication.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to conduct testing and validation of EHR systems before and after implementation.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures related to EHR implementation processes.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to EHR systems and implementation methodologies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on EHR implementation, providing guidance and support to both internal teams and clients.
- Maintain a proactive approach to identify and address potential risks or challenges that may impact the successful implementation of EHR systems.
- Keep abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to EHR systems and ensure compliance during implementations.
- Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders and management regarding the progress of EHR implementation projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business Management, Computer Science, or any relevant program or certification related to project management.
- 3+ years of experience in project management capacities.
- Has the passion to adapt and learn new technologies quickly through self –study, research and training.
- Proven ability to organize priorities and produce quality deliverables and results.
- Ability to work well with a diverse team.
- Exceptional ability to position and “sell” solutions that are reasonable, actionable, and cost-effective, including the ability to properly gauge the requirements and “plug” the appropriate solution.
- People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations.
- Forward-thinking and resourceful ensure solutions are brought to fruition and requirements are closed properly.
- Proficient with JIRA, Zoom, Skype, Slack, Microsoft Office, and Fathom
- Self-started, able to work independently while reporting on progress and issues to supervisors as needed.
- Experience in human services is a plus.
