Position Overview

Our partner is looking for a Chief Financial and Ivestment Officer (CFO) to lead its financial operations in the Philippines. This role involves managing financial activities, overseeing compliance, and driving financial strategy at the national level while coordinating with the headquarters financial team in Shanghai. A crucial part of this role is leading local financing initiatives with banks and family offices for both equity and debt financing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the business growth in the Philippines.
  • Lead local financing initiatives with banks and family offices for both equity and debt financing. The goal is to secure funding through both equity (ownership shares) and debt (loans) channels for various projects or ventures. This involves networking with potential investors, negotiating terms, and structuring deals to meet the financial needs of the initiatives.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the Philippine operations.
  • Manage and monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with the headquarters financial team in Shanghai to align financial operations and strategies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team in the Philippines.
  • Ensure compliance with national regulations, including those set by the SEC and CIC.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or CPA/CMA qualification is preferred but not required.
  • At least 8 years of min experience, 3-5 years of which in a senior financial role, ideally as a CFO or Financial Controller in the Philippines.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in leading financing initiatives with banks and family offices for equity and debt financing.
  • Wide network in the banking sector.
  • Fundraising and Investment experience.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
