Role Summary

Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their team. This role will be responsible for ensuring that customers are billed timely and our accounts receivable turn into cash, thereby positively impacting the company’s cash flow through customer collection efforts. POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

Essential Functions

  • Create healthy business relationships with customers and internal teams to increase efficiency in processes
  • Generate, review, and send out invoices to customers promptly and accurately
  • Maintain and update customer accounts, including name or address changes, contact information, and any other information relevant to accurate account information
  • Manage the accounting inbox and communicate with customers to address inquiries and provide account updates
  • Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or customer disputes, working with relevant internal departments to ensure issues are addressed
  • Generate credit memos, process write-offs, and prepare pro forma invoices when necessary
  • Prepare daily reports for the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, including the status of customer accounts as requested, to assist with the overall awareness of delinquent accounts, large balances, and payment concerns
  • Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
  • Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contact delinquent accountholders to request payment via email
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks to meet dependencies of the close calendar and assist in audits
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries for state sales tax
  • Prepare state tax registrations and other forms
  • Perform basic research to resolve state tax issues
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is an advantage
  • Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experience in a multi-client environment
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
  • Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
