CHIEF ENGINEER
*Team Supervision and Development: Supervise and manage engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
*Operational and Financial Management: Oversee operational accounts, including variance reporting, and assist in developing operating and capital budgets.
*Utility and Resource Management: Track utility consumption, costs, and report variances; assist with budgeting and implementing sub-metering and comparison models.
*Maintenance Oversight: Ensure the proper functioning, repair, and maintenance of all building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, FirePro, etc.) and recommend improvements to preventive maintenance programs.
*Building System Inspections and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
*Contractor and Vendor Coordination: Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenants, and engineers to ensure project completion per plan and specifications.
*Emergency Response and Client Communication: Respond to emergencies (e.g., fire, evacuation) and maintain effective communication with tenants and clients.
*Project and Budget Management: Prepare and manage department budgets, feasibility studies, schedules, and ensure compliance with construction plans and regulations. Monitor progress and handle final inspections and corrective actions.
