MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for supporting the Finance Manager in all aspects of financial operations by performing tasks like preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights for business decisions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Finance and Accounting Functions:
Financial Reporting:
Assist the Finance Manager in the timely preparation and submission of accounting and financial management reports, monthly, quarterly and annually.
Responsible for period end closing activities and reconciliation of GL accounts.
Ensure GL accounts agree with the subsidiary ledger and any discrepancies are accounted for and acted upon.
Prepare and analyze P&L movement and monitor variances from budget and identify potential issues.
Generate other relevant reports for management to inform decision-making.
Account Management:
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, billing and collections.
Manage the company's intercompany transactions and coordinate with counterparts from other affiliates.
Prepare cash flow reports to ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements.
Negotiate and coordinate with banks regarding fund flows, forex and other bank related transactions.
Responsible for ensuring that petty cash funds are physically secured.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Maintain sustainable templates for budget monitoring and variance analysis.
Compliance and Audit Support:
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
Assist with internal and external audit processes (Statutory, BIR, national and local government agencies).
JSOX Compliance – Internal Control activities and reporting, to ensure compliance of Japans Sarbanes Oxley (JSOX) Standards related to Finance and Accounting.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business operations.
Work closely with sales, operations, and marketing teams to ensure accurate setup of customer rebates and incentives, product pricing and discount.
Coordinate with Supply Chain department to ensure accurate inventory results are uploaded in the system during cycle count.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with supervisory experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams.
