Summary Of Work Activities And Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Admissions Head, the Position performs functions in support of the development and implementation of the initiatives and strategies of the Admissions Section of the Office of Admission and Aid. He or she is primarily responsible for tasks related to the online application system and appeals for reconsideration. He or She provides administrative and frontline support for the office, and assists in reviewing current processes related to admission of undergraduate students.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

I. College Application

  • Co-oversees the creation and maintenance of a reliable application system, from the time contracts are signed up to the end of the application period
  • Liaises with Office for Digital Information and Technology Services (DITS) and service provider personnel; Assists in the preparation of technical requirements being asked by developers; Is present in all meetings prior to launch of application portal; Attends the periodic check-ins after launch
  • Assists in processing the applications for admission
  • Validates the high school record submitted by the school, checks if the uploaded proof of payment is acceptable, and confirms whether the applicant should be applying as a first year or a transfer applicant
  • Contacts and assists applicants in completing their application requirements

Ateneo College Entrance Test Administration

  • Joins ocular inspection of MM test sites; Attends meetings with University offices that assist in the administration of the ACET
  • Serves as team lead in 1 of the 4 MM test sites
  • Supervises all tasks before examinees enter their respective classrooms
  • Monitors attendance and readiness of security and maintenance personnel
  • Gives final orientation to examiners and proctors
  • Decides on matters about possible cheating and irregularities during the ACET administration; In close contact with the other team leads and administrators in case of postponement and other critical incidents

Committe on Admission and Aid Deliberations

  • Prepares CAA list which contains the scores or percentiles, and goes through the application forms and the data in the list
  • Together with the Admissions Head and one Admission Assistant, checks the final decisions right after the meeting, ensuring that the decisions encoded in OAA’s internal system are the same as the ones recorded in two separate sheets

Release of Decisions on College Applications

Confirmation of Incoming College Students

Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the Director or by the Admissions Head

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree graduate
  • Preferably with previous work experience in an academic setting, but new graduate may be considered
