Key Responsibilities
- Operations – Finance operations which are transactional in nature but has financial impact (e.g. Journal Entries, Reconciliations, Daily Sales Reporting etc.).
- Accounting Operations – responsible in preparing, uploading of entries to facilitate month-end activities. Reconciliation of accounts and balance sheet items for audit and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Reporting – for submission to regional team for consolidation of reports and for regulatory submissions.
- Management Reporting - to support the requirement of internal and external parties.
- BAU – provides back-up for daily tasks. Performs ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Business Units Process improvements –
- Propose automation initiatives for existing processes.
- Bachelor Degree of Accountancy, Finance or equivalent, plus 1-2 years of accounting or related work background.
- Experience in accounting treatments in Insurance or Finance industries preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, Business Objects applications, Lawson, Hyperion Essbase.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Has strong attention to details.
- Self-starter, well-organized and team oriented.
- Good command of written and oral English.
- Demonstrates unwavering commitment and resolute decision making.
