Job Summary
The City of Bessemer is seeking a highly qualified Public Works Assistant Director to oversee the comprehensive operations of the Public Works Department. This role includes managing street construction and maintenance, refuse and trash collection, parks and recreation, cemetery operations, storm drainage, and brush landfill activities. The Public Works Assistant Director is responsible for supervising staff, planning, assigning, and reviewing various projects and the work of subordinate employees.
