POSITION: HEAD OF FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights for senior management and stakeholders.
- Present financial reports and findings to the executive team.
Financial Controls and Compliance
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and other relevant laws.
- Conduct regular internal checks and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including coordination with various departments.
- Provide accurate and timely forecasts to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Monitor budget performance and identify variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the controllership team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide clear direction and support to team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Evaluate team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
Strategic Planning and Advisory
- Partner with senior leadership to drive the financial strategy of the organization.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Technology and Systems Management:
- Oversee the financial systems and ensure they meet the needs of the controllership function.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies to improve financial reporting and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within financial systems.
Tax Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Analyze the impact of tax laws on business operations and financial strategies.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure optimal tax planning.
- Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations minimizing risk of audits, penalties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Min. 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance, with at least 5 years in the leadership role.
- Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Preferable with REAL-ESTATE Background
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges efficiently
- Customer Service orientation
- Willing to work onsite at MOA Complex, Pasay City
