Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & HR
- Process payroll (weekly/fortnightly) and manage employee records in Xero.
- Handle employee onboarding, tax declarations, and superannuation.
- Verify timesheets and liaise with site supervisors.
- Manage apprenticeship documentation and claims.
- Maintain HR records, track pay raises, and ensure compliance.
- Prepare employee contracts using Happy HR.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process and reconcile invoices, bills, and payments in Xero.
- Verify and seek approvals for accounts payable transactions.
- Manage project invoicing, progress payments, and retentions.
- Follow up on overdue invoices to maintain cash flow.
General Administration
- Manage business and workers' compensation insurance policies.
- Maintain subcontractor records and process taxable payments.
- Track project costs and profitability margins.
- Handle office administration and file organization.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proven experience in accounting, payroll, and financial administration.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Proficiency in Xero is a must.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills
