Our client is a tech-savvy firm and a Gold Xero Partner, they pride themselves on being a paperless office, guiding clients in leveraging technology and software automation to streamline their operations. With expertise in Xero integration and various add-ons, we help clients harness the full potential of cloud-based accounting.
Their services encompasses Accounting & Tax, Business Advisory, and Virtual CFO, all designed to support their clients’ business’s growth and success — where professionalism meets authenticity and innovation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare interim and end-of-year financial statements for review.
- Prepare tax returns, BAS, IAS, FBT, and other compliance-related filings.
- Monitor tax payments and due dates.
- Manage payroll and payroll tax returns for clients.
- Prepare company and trust statutory compliance documents.
- Code and monitor client cashbooks.
- Assist with management accounting and financial reporting.
- Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts and business plans.
- Draft professional correspondence, reports, and other financial documents as needed.
- Serve as the primary client contact, proactively understanding their needs and ensuring services align with expectations, with the help of the manager, CSC, and Director.
- Manage scope of work, time budgets, and service levels, advising clients of any changes in scope and fees with the help of the manager.
- Identify and document process gaps while ensuring scope changes are flagged for management.
- Maintain productivity targets through efficient work and ongoing professional development.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a tax accounting firm in Australia.
- Experience preparing BAS, EOFY, and ITRs.
- Proficiency in Xero is required.
- Ideally experienced with FYI document management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Good communication skills
- Proven ability to respond to client queries and provide effective solutions.
