As a Senior Architect - BIM - Project integration, you’ll take a leadership role in shaping transformative workplace projects for North American clients. Combining technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking, you’ll guide teams through the full design process, ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with our client’s vision and goals.

Your Role

  • Lead Design Collaboration: Act as a primary liaison between North American teams and VDC, ensuring alignment across disciplines and smooth project delivery.
  • Champion the Full Design Process: Oversee the project lifecycle, from initial design visioning to construction documentation, ensuring design integrity and client satisfaction.
  • Provide Strategic Leadership: Mentor junior team members and foster collaboration within multidisciplinary teams across different time zones and cultures.
  • Advance Innovation: Leverage AI tools like ChatGPT and SketchUp Diffusion, alongside platforms like Revit, Bluebeam, and Trimble Connect, to enhance design quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure Holistic Project Success: Balance creative design with practical considerations like cost, constructability, and compliance.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide teams.
  • Deep understanding of the design process and a holistic project approach.
  • Advanced proficiency in BIM platforms (Revit, Trimble Connect, SketchUp) and collaboration tools (Bluebeam, Miro, MS Teams).
  • Proficiency in Rhino is a plus, especially for advanced design modeling and complex geometries.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects while balancing client goals and technical requirements.
  • Actively leverage new technologies and tools including Ai for research, data analytics, as well as administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with integrated design teams both locally and globally to develop high quality interior design concepts that meet client’s project objectives
  • Utilize BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, SketchUp to create and manage 3D models, design documentation, and construction drawings for interior design projects
  • Ensure accurate and detailed construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, and material selections, in accordance with industry standards and local regulations.
  • Lead and communicate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the design and construction process utilizing BIM 360, BIM collaborate, Navisworks, and Trimble connect platforms.
  • Conduct physical & virtual site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, resolve design-related issues, and ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards in all interior design projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, or a related field with 8+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience as a Project Architect preferably with large scale workplace projects
  • Expertise in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, and proficiency in other design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
