Position Overview

The job of our Senior MEP Engineer is a crucial part of our service offering; delivering the most advanced work environments for our clients. We are looking for a who is skilled and experienced engineer, particularly with experience with projects located in Europe or North America. You will have a diverse background and be ready to take an important part in internal and external project teams in all MEP Engineering related services through the entire project life-cycle. You will take special consideration, guiding our integrated project teams through design intent to preserve the design quality of a project, mitigating potential later issues during construction. You will be responsible for day-to-day management of the engineering related project elements and will be responsible to lead and/or participate several projects at different stages at the same time.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Engineering:

  • Lead internal and external project teams in mechanical, plumbing and fire protection related building services from site selection through to post-occupancy phase, to ensure these services are fully integrated and provide the highest quality engineered spaces in the market. Your teammates will be located in both (location of this role) and various global locations, primarily Europe or North America
  • Managing the day-to-day the engineering related mechanical, plumbing and fire protection project elements
  • Simultaneously lead and manage multiple projects in various stages
  • Provide (virtual) site analysis of building systems and provide clear direction on required modifications to these systems to achieve client driven standards.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Guiding integrated design team through design intent to preserve the design quality of a project
  • Collaborating cross-departmentally and locales
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation predominately through 3-D to ensure early clash detections/corrections and clear coordination
  • Ensure designs meet all regulatory standards and client specifications, in collaboration with local team for this as needed, ready to quickly learn and apply different location standards as per project needs.
  • Perform or guide your team to provide detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
  • Active coordination with global project teams with an integrated approach, particularly those based in the UK and USA, to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Deep working knowledge in current and most advanced systems with integration of lighting, HVAC controls, smart office systems, and other automated building management technologies into interior spaces.
  • Experience in leading/conducting energy modelling and sustainability assessments for projects.

Software Proficiency:

  • Utilize Revit, ACC/BIM 360, and Navisworks for design and coordination.
  • Employ DDS CAD and AX3000 for specific MEP design tasks.
  • Use Trimble Connect for effective project collaboration and management.

Qualifications:

  • 10 + years of work experience specializing in various Engineering services within the building design and construction field
  • Experienced in various Mechanical, Plumbing, and fire protection disciplines
  • University Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field (Mechanical).
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience inspecting and supervising various mechanical, plumbing and fire protection disciplines during construction and providing solutions to overcome site challenges
  • Experience in conducting and implementing QC design reviews with at least two disciplines of MEP Engineering
  • Preferred Experience: Exposure to global projects, particularly in Europe and/or USA, is an added advantage.
