About The Role

As a Senior Audit Manager in Internal Audit, you will undertake audits that are central to the annual audit plan. You will provide challenge and insights on the control environment and engage with management to develop sustainable solutions that deliver what matters for our customers, the Board, and regulators. Particular areas of focus include, but are not limited to: operational, technology and delivery risks management.

Your experience in operational risk and compliance management, including technology risk across the financial services industry will be leveraged and developed further. You will bring a strong understanding and interest in operational, technological, and regulatory expectations with respect to risk management and will have the opportunity to contribute to the Bank’s response and approach to these expectations through audit review activity.

In this role, you will thrive in a collaborative setting that values your growth and expertise. We seek professionals with 10-15 years of experience in Risk or Audit, especially in financial and technology risks. Proven leadership and program management skills are highly valued. What will your day look like?

As a Senior Audit Manager, you will:

  • Manage audit projects of medium size and/or medium to high complexity in line with the annual Audit Plan
  • Review specific business areas and assessing the adequacy and appropriateness of the risk controls in place
  • Drive impactful change in governance, risk management, and the control environment
  • Drive transformations in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.


What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Subject Matter Expertise across Technology, Operational Risk & Compliance management
  • Track record in understanding key players in an organisation and building relationships with them. Experience working with and influencing senior managers in the business.
  • Significant experience in managing audit or risk project teams.
  • Proven experience in developing and coaching teams in this context and in setting clear performance expectations and providing clear feedback against these.
  • Experience in supporting change and overcoming resistance to change.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent listening and interpreting skills.
  • Team management and leading experience across complex and high-profile reviews/ audits /projects
  • Excellent negotiating, influencing and conflict management skills
