Position – SYSTEMS DEVELOPER

Role: SYSTEMS ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the development of simple to complex systems; preparation of required documentation; coding and development of program modules; unit, module, system testing including test data preparation and documentation.

The Systems Engineer is also expected to estimate and forecast “build” effort requirement, be aware of and meet deadlines and/or schedules, identify and plan for risks, analyze impact of work to be done against other systems and ensure that the work being done is in accordance with the needs of the user.

The Systems Engineer is expected to apply quality standards, best practices, and secure standards to his work always. It is expected that basic considerations have been applied to all outputs: exception handling, security, audit and system logs for troubleshooting, system administration and maintenance, handling, and management of all or most of the common user errors, operational requirements, and debug facility for easier problem/issue investigation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be a graduate of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other allied courses
  2. Must have at least 2 years of experience in the field of systems development and requirements analysis and documentation development in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), preferably in the Windows, Web, Unix/AIX environments.
  3. With experience in development using current technologies and languages, preferably on Microsoft Visual Basic (VB).Net, Crystal Report, Java (Spring Framework), JSON and Web Service protocols (REST, SOAP, etc.)
  4. With experience in RDBMS, preferably on Oracle, My SQL, MS Access and other SQL-based Databases
  5. Knowledge and experience with NoSQL databases are a plus.i.e. MongoDB, Mark Logic, etc.
  6. Preferably worked with Web-based applications using Java using OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project)
