QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering degree, preferably mechanical.
- At least 10 years of experience in the construction of water/wastewater treatment plants, serving the role of project engineer, construction engineer, or mechanical engineer for the process piping and process equipment systems. Experience in active construction sites is required, even though this will be a 100% remote position.
- Must have experience with thermal fusion HDPE piping systems up to 36” in diameter, including knowledge of installation methods, understanding of different piping SDR’s, different types of fittings, etc.
- Must have experience with welded/fabricated stainless steel piping systems up to 24” in diameter, including alloys such as 304SS, 316SS, Alloy 20, and knowledge of installation methods, understanding of fabrication drawings, etc.
- Must have experience with double containment chemical piping systems (PVC/CPVC), including knowledge of installation methods, different available fittings, etc.
- Must have experience with process valves including butterfly valves (manual and electrically operated), gate valves, plug valves, including ductile iron bodies, stainless steel bodies, PVC/CPVC bodies, flanged, threaded, double-union, etc.
- Must have experience with various mechanical piping specialty items such as expansion joints, injection quills, flow meters, pressure and level instrumentation, bolt-nut-gasket kits, etc.
- Must have experience with the installation of process equipment such as pumps, blowers, compressors, chemical dosing skids, aeration basins, MBR technology, etc.
- Must have extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must have knowledge of CPM construction schedules, with experience using MS Project. Primavera P6 experience/knowledge is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Experience with a BIM 3D software such as Navisworks, Revit, etc. is preferred but not required.
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud is preferred but not required.
