Position Summary

This role coordinates and maintains daily operational requirements of the Wardrobe Department which encompasses the wardrobe and seamstress areas. In addition. Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinates and maintains daily operational requirements of the Wardrobe Department which encompasses the wardrobe and seamstress areas.
- Ensures all wardrobe department activities are carried out efficiently and effectively and that at all times a high standard of service excellence are maintained.
- Undertakes recruitment of wardrobe staff members
- Provides training and development to wardrobe staff members, ensuring continuity within the operations of the department.
- Oversees staff rosters and ensure that they are in compliance with department business requirement.
- Manages performance of wardrobe staff members, including conducting formal performance reviews
- Maintains a professional working relationship within Wardrobe staff and to all fellow employees
- Maintains team support, provides guidance & direction to fellow wardrobe staff members
- Remains aware of staff needs and requirements to ensure a good working relationship, maintaining staff morale within the department.
- Provides clear direction, communications and support to staff members
- Supports the future development of the department by constantly reviewing new concepts and work practices to improve the standard of service and professionalism within the Wardrobe Department, reflecting credit to all concerned
- Assists in the management of stock- take and maintenance of uniforms
- Performs related duties as requested by the Manager, Wardrobe.
- Enhances the image of the Wardrobe Department as an integral part of the Environmental Services Division and constantly increase its effectiveness as a communication medium with employees.
- Remains attentive at all times of staff complaints relative to the Wardrobe Department operations and report complaints to Wardrobe Manager.
- Maintains on-going effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments within regarding employee uniforms.
- Supports Wardrobe Manager in the implementation of staff grooming regulations by advising Department Managers and Supervisors so they may follow up with offending staff members.
- Represents Wardrobe Department both internal & external as required, (i.e., General meetings, Grooming inspections, Orientation lecture on Grooming Regulations).
- Ensures that Wardrobe Department is kept in a clean & orderly manner at all times.
- Provides a high standard of administrative duties to the Wardrobe Department and ensures the office is operated in a professional manner.
- Ensures confidentiality of restricted and sensitive information of the wardrobe department.
- Arranges meeting and take minutes whenever it is required.
- Translates documents and memos when necessary.
- Ensures personnel records of all Wardrobe staffs maintained accurately and provide timely and accurate feedback to the operational managers on leave balance remuneration issues and payroll issues etc.
- Coordinates all training requirements with Learning & Development team and other providers.
- Maintains accurate training records.
- Coordinates recruitment & resignation processes and handle all related documents.
- Adheres to all established policies and procedures within.
- Ensures stationary is ordered and stock levels are maintained.
- Remains flexible in job function and performs any other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Reports accident, injuries, unsafe work conditions and security issues to supervisor.
- Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time.
- Ensures that Kaizen programs and initiatives are consistently implemented and adhered to.
I. Experience
- 3 years working experience with minimum 2 year in Wardrobe Attendant position
- Supervisor experience
- Sewing and alteration skills
- Knowledge of similar operations (Wardrobe or Dry Cleaning oriented)
- Trade equipment knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products
High school diploma or equivalent professional training
