The Project Director will report directly to the Head of Renewables in SEA.

This person will also have ENGIE’s Project delivery reporting requirements to fulfil applicable reporting functions within ENGIE.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering the assets on time, on budget and to the required standards of health, safety, environment and quality by fulfilling contractual requirements and design specs and to deliver 30 years of reliable and sustainable operation.
  • Implementing HSSE program and supervision in the Projects that the Company will have in SEA and lead the HSSE culture at the company in conformity with the Company and Stakeholder targets.
  • Monitoring, coordinating and reporting multiple Contractors’ activities at site with the support of the site project managers and during the design review phase, as well as challenging and negotiating with the EPC contractors when deviations arise, with a view to defend the best interest of the Company.
  • Directing the Owner’s Engineer team at the sites.
  • Ensuring a smooth and timely completion of all interface activities/information exchanges between all stakeholders (including but not limited to project partners, local communities, external parties, and ENGIE’s teams).
  • Support BD team in the late stage development phase in preparation to the execution of the projects.
  • Lead the EPC contracts negotiation and completion from technical and project execution point of view.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of project and site experience in utility scale power generation projects
  • Extensive knowledge of renewable energy sources, construction of power plants and associated technical and contractual understanding
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels while maintaining string ethics and professionalism.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to drive and influence change management.
  • Goal getting, driven, committed, with strong planning and execution capabilities.
