Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordination to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution. The Planning Engineer will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to optimize resource utilization and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project timelines and milestones are met.
  • Prepare detailed work programs, progress reports, and forecast schedules.
  • Identify critical paths, potential delays, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and update project schedules, ensuring alignment with the project execution plan.
  • Assist in cost control, budget tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Evaluate subcontractor schedules and ensure integration with the overall project timeline.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for project stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk analysis and provide recommendations for time and cost optimization.
  • Support the claims and variation order process by providing necessary schedule-related documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in civil infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is required.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodology, and resource planning.
  • Experience in handling structural retrofitting projects is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in coordinating with government agencies, consultants, and subcontractors is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is an advantage but not required.
