Distributor Development Manager
The Distributor Development Manager supports the National Distributor Management and Development Manager in strengthening distributor partnerships and ensuring compliance with JTI requirements. The role drives revenue growth by integrating financial strategies into distributor management. It also collaborates with CBUs to identify risks and opportunities for business growth.
As the Distributor Development Manager, you will
- Distributor Management & Performance – Oversee and collaborate with Distributor Partners (DP) to ensure timely shipments, inventory levels, financial performance, and contract compliance. Conduct business reviews and track performance through dashboards and scorecards.
- Territory Development & Sales Growth – Develop strategies to drive sales, expand distribution networks, and optimize market presence. Work with marketing and sales teams to implement promotional initiatives and negotiate terms with key accounts.
- Strategic Planning & Industry Insights – Identify opportunities for growth, analyze market conditions, and participate in cross-functional projects to enhance DP management and competitiveness. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance & Administration – Ensure accurate reporting, inventory planning, and adherence to contractual agreements. Validate shipments, manage stock returns, and maintain compliance with operational processes.
- People Management & Development – Foster a collaborative work environment, support team development, and partner with HR for performance management and training initiatives.
- Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or higher in Business Management, or any related field.
- Work Experience At least 5 years of dynamic experience in the FMCG industry, with proven experience in Sales and Distributor Management, Financial and Operations Management, and track record in stakeholder management. Experience in common Route-to-Market models in the Philippines is a plus
- Language Skills Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
- Technical Skills Strong discernment with numerical literacy, account and relationship management, and knowledge of finance and control systems.
- Other Skills Account management and relationship management skills, stakeholder management, strong business acumen with numerical literacy, advanced communication, presentation and negotiation skils, knowledge of fincance and control systems and procedures, strategic thinking, change managment skills, project management skills.
- High level of energy, willingness and abilit to drive results, ability to initiate and incorporate the changes, flexibility, and out of the box thinking, structured thinker with excellent analytical skills, good knowlefdge or modern data collection and processing tools, computer literacy (advanced excel is required). Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendation
