Key Responsibilities:

- Creating test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for both automated and manual testing
- Developing scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks
- Contributing to implement repeatable automated tests during sprints to ensure quality, reduce test execution time, & incorporate automated tests into CI/CD processes
- Planning the budget and labor needs of each sprint and product releases
- Working in a dedicated squad team and helping to drive product quality
- Ensuring all assigned testing deliverables timelines are met within the sprint and product release
- Creating and communicating test reports for stakeholders such as the principal engineer, product owner, scrum master, & release management
- Liaising with business users, business analysts and engineers to ensure that any assigned defects are resolved
- Maintaining awareness of external environments and trends in testing, in order to contribute to the improvement of Smartgroup testing processes and assets
- Promoting productivity through test automation tools, methodologies and best practices
- Coaching and training other team members on manual and automated testing
- Adapting Smartgroup new way of working, finding ways to continually improve, and actively participating in squad events
- Manage risks, issues and escalations as needed
- Minimum 5 years software testing experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics or equivalent work experience
- Experience in both manual and automated testing including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating and test coverage
- At least 3 years of automation testing experience
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, Java, Maven, & Postman
- Demonstrated skills with REST and SOAP webservices, & API testing
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and parallel test execution
- Experience testing web, mobile and windows applications
- Ability to work across multiple products / platforms / squads
- Agile methodologies
- Regular use of a defect and test management system such as JIRA, Confluence & SharePoint
- Experience working with external parties & vendors
- Demonstrated capability to learn and understand a business and its processes and systems in depth
