Position Details
Client: Confidential (Government) Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Industry: Engineering Services / Quality Control Position: QC Inspector - Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection activities for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecommunication systems in accordance with project specifications and international standards.
- Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and safety regulations during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Review and interpret EPC Contractor and project design documentation.
- Inspect electrical, instrumentation, and telecom installations, ensuring materials, methods, and specifications meet project requirements.
- Verify installations in hazardous locations for oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
- Compile detailed inspection reports and maintain project documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Educational Background: B.Sc. Degree/Diploma or an approved equivalent degree/diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
- Certifications: COMPEX (Ex01 to Ex04) or IECex (Ex01, 03, 04, 06, 07, 08) training certification (minimum requirement).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of inspection experience in Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecommunication in the Oil & Gas industry (experience in Aramco and ADNOC projects preferred).
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in interpreting and applying EPC Contractor and project design documentation for construction, testing, and commissioning of Electrical/Instrumentation and control systems in large offshore/onshore Oil and Gas projects.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with international industry codes and standards related to intrinsically safe and electrical systems for instrumentation, such as:
- ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ISA TR12
- ANSI MC96.1, IEEE 518, IEEE 1100
- IEC 60529, NEMA ICS 6, NEMA 250, NEMA VE I, NEMA VE 2
- NFPA 70/NEC, UL 94
