The PSR Business Development Manager is responsible to drive business growth in Southern Mindanao (Davao, General Santos, Cotabato, etc) by expanding distribution, providing education, and identifying new opportunities. This role involves implementing Pet Specialty Retail strategies with pet shop partners as part of a comprehensive long-term business plan. Additionally, the position focuses on developing the territory, creating and executing a business plan aimed at accelerating sales growth and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) that contribute to the overall success of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and assess customer business development across various stages.
  • Execute in-store visibility strategies, oversee product planograms, and ensure excellence in merchandising.
  • Provide regular updates on customer scorecards, analyzing market conditions and SKU performance to formulate action plans.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to foster support, loyalty, and advocacy.
  • Conduct periodic customer visits as per the established work plan.
  • Achieve targets through consistent delivery of Net Sales Value and efficient Days Sales Operations.
  • Track investment plans against customer objectives to ensure alignment.
  • Identify and pursue development opportunities within the established strategic framework.
  • Visit all customers within the designated territory to drive business growth.
  • Spot and capitalize on expansion opportunities to penetrate untapped accounts, in line with business priorities.

Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Excellent communication (both written & oral) in English

Knowledge/Experience

  • Minimum 4 years experiences at field level
  • Excellent communication skills with good verbal and written language
  • Able to establish relationship across all levels, both internally & externally (Pet shops owners & Staff)
  • Commercial acumen with good negotiation skills
  • An interest in pet nutrition is a plus
  • Experience in pet food industry, specialized channel & vets has added value
  • Effective communication skills, proactive initiatives
  • Excellent understanding of product knowledge, background in nutrition and/or veterinary medicine is an added value
  • Willing to travel nationwide
