JOB PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for developing programs and establishing external linkages and networks to communicate a favorable public image for the company using various platforms designed to reach a designated audience and implement social development programs that positively impact the target stakeholders.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

1. Government and Industry Relations

• Conducts stakeholder mapping and develops engagement strategies

• Monitors industry issues and government regulations update that may impact the company.

• Identifies opportunities for building collaborative relationships with local government and government agencies

• Represents the company in government and industry associations and fora

2. Public and Media Relations

• Develops integrated communications plans for various public and consumer affairs keeping shareholders abreast of relevant corporate information.

• Manages consumer feedback through the Consumer Affairs Roadmap in partnership with Manufacturing

• Leads in the development of corporate crisis management and communications strategy and programs. •Communicates the plan to the relevant audience in the Area and Region and supports the development of competencies in handling and managing a crisis

• Enhances PCPPI’s reputation and brand equity by communicating relevant stories to the public through regular media releases and various communications platforms

• Builds collaborative relations with media

3. Corporate Brand Management

• Develops campaigns and programs to enhance corporate brand identity, ensures brand alignment across the functions and Region

• Implements approved plans and programs and assess the campaign's status and impact.

4. Corporate Social Responsibility

• Develops and manages the company’s sustainability/CSR framework and cascade the same to the Area and Region for consistent application

• Develops sponsorship policies and guidelines, reviews sponsorships request following approved procedures.

• Conducts periodic review on the progress of CSR and sponsorships initiatives in the Region and recommends improvement areas as needed.

5. Reports Preparation and Submission

• Prepares department reports (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly)

6. Cost Management

• Prepares department budget, monitors and ensures operational expenses are within approved budget

• Assesses and implements cost-savings opportunities while maintaining the quality and level of service

7. Environment, Health, Safety, and Security

• Coordinates with the EHSS team in crafting inspiring and news-worthy environment and safety-related initiatives of the company

• Integrates safety and environment in the planning and implementation of communication and social development programs

8. Organization and People Development

• Coaches, mentors, and identifies training and developmental needs and job competencies of line personnel to build a well-informed, well-trained, empowered workforce, and stable organization

• Develops job descriptions and performance measures of subordinates and communicates the same to subordinates. Complies with Performance Appraisal policy

• Conducts periodic staff meetings to update plans and initiatives

• Engages the workforce in establishing harmonious relationships and follows the proper implementation of Company Rules & Regulations, including discipline, work attendance, etc.

• Provides feedback, motivation, recognition, and support to the team to enhance engagement

• Tracks the implementation, leads, and participates actively in Management Routine meetings to sustain functional and cross-functional performance reviews and collaboration.

9. Other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • College Graduate: Degree in Mass Communications or Organizational Communications
  • At least ten years of work experience in corporate affairs, media relations, and community development with five years in a leadership capacity
  • Sufficient understanding of the beverage business operations
  • Experience in handling implementation of Extended Producers’ Responsibility Act (EPR Law) an advantage
