The primary function of a Junior Bookkeeper is to provide bookkeeping and accounting support to the Team, i.e underwriting payment run, email management, ad hoc tasks, and others as required.

Key Attributes

· Experience in accounting (using software) and administration. Xero experience preferred.

· Experience in international companies (BPO or Shared Services) preferred. We are also open to applicants with local experience (Philippine corporate set-up).

· Experience in the application of accounting process and procedures.

· Analytical skills & understanding of relevant key financial data.

· Highly organised and ability to work under pressure.

· Great time management skills

· Meticulous & very high attention to detail

· Meet deadlines whilst producing high-quality work.

· Communicate effectively and clearly verbally and in written format.

· Reliable & trustworthy

· Able to prioritise tasks.

· Works with a team.

Key Tasks

· Accurately process underwriter payments.

· Managing inquiries in underwriting payments mailbox.

· Assisting the Accounting team with additional tasks and projects as required, i.e journals, accounts payables, or any ad hoc tasks as required.

· Update process procedure as required.

Requirements

Qualifications

· Graduate of Accounting degree or equivalent

· At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting practice i.e. invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, journal posting, month-end processes, general ledger, and accounts admin.

· In-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office suite, CBS/Ebix, and Xero or any accounting software

· Knowledge of Australian Accounting - preferred only

· Strong attention to detail and technical accounting skills

· Excellent time management skills

· Able to meet deadlines.

· Team oriented.

· Exceptional English communication and comprehension skills.
