Job Overview

The Sales Support Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Business Development Team by equipping them with the essential resources needed to accomplish their objectives. This position involves maintaining databases, analyzing data to offer valuable insights and recommendations, conducting competitor analysis, and identifying and addressing any discrepancies or irregularities.

Core Responsibilities and Day to Day Tasks

  • Sales Support: Perform regular check on product listings and maintain product information spreadsheets.
  • Competitor Analysis: Check for competitor’s prices and availability regularly for tier 1 products.
  • Profit Margin Optimisation: Check for margin and raise flag if there are tours below expected margin or with negative margin.
  • Product Optimisation: Develop insight from data and provide suggestions to the business development manager to optimise products.
  • Data Reconciliation: Check for sales discrepancies and fix price databases in our backend.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification Guidelines

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or other related degrees
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • 1-2 years of experience in Business Development / Account Management in the Online Travel Industry is an asset but not a requirement
  • Proficiency in MS Excel. Experience with Data Analysis and PowerBI is a plus.
  • Has a strong sense of ownership with an ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively with limited time and resources.
  • Data-minded and resourceful in collecting and synthesizing data from different sources
  • Contribute to a collaborative, fast-moving, and impact-driven team culture
  • Possess a start-up mentality and ability to work in a dynamic and ambiguous environment. Flexibility and attentiveness to details are essential.
  • Is resilient and gritty to continue pushing forward even in the face of uncertainty
