Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities:
- If the project has no dedicated Project Manager at site, the Project-in-Charge (PIC) is the overall responsible on the site construction management of the project under the remote project management of the SP Group Project Manager or NSP Project Manager and COD Head.
- Attends pre-mobilization inspection with the Design Coordinator and Safety Officer. Determine if site is ready for hand-over by the owner and to start installation works, submit punch list to Design Coordinator, if site is not yet ready.
- Prepares and submits Material Requisition Slip (MRS) for the necessary tools, materials, and
- other project resources required for the implementation of the project for review and approval of COD approver/s.
- Assist with Procurement by communicating with some suppliers and vendors to check the conformance of their material and/or services needed for the project and endorse it to Immediate Manager and COD Head for review and approval.
- Assist with Procurement by providing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on approved detailed structural design for Civil Works Subcontractor Procurement (SP).
- Together with Safety Officer, ensure safety and security of delivered and installed equipment and
- materials during construction.
- Conducts regular inspection and monitoring of daily site activities and coordinates and reports to PIC any non-conformance with the approved or For Construction Drawings (FCD), approved Method Statement and Project Quality Control Assurance Procedure and Policy (QCAPP).
- Coordinates and reports all project status, accomplishment, and concerns to its Immediate Manager and COD Head during the implementation of project.
- Ensure the project is on schedule, if there is delay, recommends to its Immediate Manager and to COD Head possible solutions to mitigate further delays in the project. If necessary, draft time extension for review, comment, and approval of its Immediate Manager and COD Head.
- Prepares and recommends progress billing to its Immediate Manager and to COD Head.
- Drafts report on any incident at the site for possible variation order for review and approval of its
- Immediate Head and COD Head.
- Coordinates and attends project meetings during construction and post construction of the project when necessary.
- Updates and maintains record keeping of daily activities and transfer it to the Weekly Accomplishment Report for PMCom and KPI reporting of the project for Immediate Manager’s review and endorsement to COD Head.
- Sketch or draw details base on site condition for shop drawing endorsement to DED.
- For NSP PIC, coordinates with Testing Supervisor the preparation of test packages/test forms, OIM,
- Testing and Commissioning Method Statement when the project is under MDC, Megaworld,
- SM with third-party T&C Group (like Forsspac, LGB, etc.). Please note that this takes 1-3
- months in securing approval due to strict requirements from the third party and they have
- their own format and standards that we must follow.
- Addresses all punch list generated from inspection with the client prior to demobilization.
- Supervises the demobilization of project and team preparation of demobilization documents
- (internal/external) and coordination with support teams through the ticketing system, call or
- email.
- Leads the rectification the installed equipment or materials found to be with defect during testing and commissioning period.
- Submission of balance Progress billing and closely coordinate and submit necessary document for final billing
- Conduct start up and testing of Equipment, make rectification if required and submit stratup and testing certificate for client approval.
- Conducts inspection and secure signature from client on the handover checklist form prior the demobilization of the team.
- When the plant is under O&M and still covered by the warranty, NSP PIC to conduct the inspection
- with the mechanical foreman to check and troubleshoot the reported problem/s from O&M
- Department.
- Co-evaluates the performance of NSP Workers (NSP).
- Perform other duties/tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Civil Engineering for Special Project, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering for Non-Special Project.
- With good scholastic record
- With PRC License
- With 1-3 years of experience as Project Engineer or Project-in-Charge
- Proficient in Microsoft office application (word, excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic Knowledge in Project Planning, Project Management, CADD 2D/ 3D CADD
- Sketchup 3D is an additional point.
