About Risk and Due Diligence (RDD) at LSEG:

The RDD tech team at LSEG maintain and develop a tailored suite of products and services focused around management of compliance risk within the Risk Intelligence business.

This Role:

You’ll be capturing the vision from internal Product Directors, Product Managers and Product Owners and sharing this with our sprint teams by crafting, maintaining and prioritising the product backlog.

Responsibilities centre around working as a core member of one, or more, of our globally located scrum teams, ensuring those sprint teams know exactly what to develop.

The Business Analyst (BA) is encouraged to handle queries from the scrum team (developers and testers) rapidly in daily stand ups and refinement sessions, responding promptly and openly to any challenges to ensure the highest quality end product and maintain momentum in dev sprints.

Continuous improvement is essential to how we work and the Analyst is at the centre of this, promoting healthy and open conversation around new feature development to ensure broad understanding of direction whilst doing your bit to ensure we make good decisions in product design.

The role is hybrid remote with some time in the office working with sprint teams.

The Teams:

We have multiple scrum teams consisting of mixes of internal staff and 3rd party consultants and typically including Business Analysts, UX designers, Developers (front and back end), Automation testers, performance testers and QA engineers. Teams are based in multiple locations but mostly across Europe and Asia across varying time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Programme and Product managers, communicate progress and articulate any issues quickly and clearly
  • Be the main point of contact with your Product team and other partners in order to elicit, analyse, and validate sophisticated business requirements for the software we’re building
  • Document and translate these business requirements into a detailed JIRA user stories and supporting content in confluence
  • Take the lead on maintaining a quality backlog of user stories, through activities such as backlog refinement, giving clear direction to the dev teams
  • Collaborate with scrum teams to ensure scrum velocity is maintained and optimised and any blockers removed
  • Be accountable for the quality of your work, ensuring it’s delivered to agreed quality and timeframes
  • Become a subject matter authority in the EDD, AML and KYC areas of Risk

Skills & Experience:

Crucial:

  • Ability to capture business requirements accurately
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – able to tailor your approach with both with technical and non-technical team members
  • Confident presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent problem solving, analysis, research and process mapping skills
  • User focused and dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of both your internal and external customers

Desirable:

  • Experience in Scrum / Agile methodology, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria utilising INVEST criteria, tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to balance multiple tasks / projects
  • Understands the principles of usability and helps ensure the software is fit for purpose
  • An understanding of the KYC / AML / DD environment
  • Ability to influence and negotiate
