You will work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights and help drive growth strategies while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Duties And Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Present financial results and insights to stakeholders, offering clear explanations of key metrics and performance drivers.
- Lead the development and management of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with the departments business objectives.
- Monitor financial performance against the budget and forecasts, providing recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Prepare detailed financial forecasts and projections, adjusting for changes in business conditions and market trends.
- Manage department cash flow to ensure the business has the necessary liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Submit Capex forms for approval
- Track and optimize working Capex and cash flow to improve overall financial efficiency. Financial Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Work closely with auditors to ensure accurate and efficient auditing processes.
- Assess and manage financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate them and safeguard the company’s financial position.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for optimizing financial performance.
- Work with sub department heads to evaluate and manage expenses, ensuring financial discipline across the organization.
- Assist in strategic financial planning to support the company’s growth objectives and expansion into new markets.
- Collaborate with other departments (group finance and accounting, marketing, operations, HR, etc.) to ensure financial goals and budgets are being adhered to.
- Promote a culture of financial accountability throughout the department.
- Maintain and improve the departments financial systems and reporting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices for financial controls, data accuracy, and automation where applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, with a strong ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CPA, CFA, or similar certifications are a plus).
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
