Stagwell is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to work with its central accounting team. The Payroll Coordinator will process monthly payroll for multiple companies and ensure all tasks are completed with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll for multiple companies and ensure that pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations
- Oversees procedures and processes and manages inquiries and requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll
- Processes payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
- Maintains or oversees the maintenance of employee records
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
- Assists accounting with reconciling payroll deposits and benefits invoices
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll software, systems, and procedures
- Experience with International payroll ( mainly US )
- 3+ years payroll experience required
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups , etc.), required
- Strong detail orientation and accuracy of work is required
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner
- Developed organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to maintain a consistently positive, cheerful, helpful attitude and demeanor
- Ability to adapt well to changing priorities and situations without a loss of effectiveness
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proven ability to handle confidential information, personal integrity, excellent judgement and high ethical standards
- Conveys sense of enthusiasm for his/her role and contributions
- Stress tolerance related to time sensitive deadlines
- Experience with UKG is a plus
