Job Highlights

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex bookkeeping processes for multiple companies using modified accrual accounting methods
  • Record transactions as they hit bank accounts for various business types (restaurants, e-commerce, real estate, wholesale, lending, 3PL fulfillment)
  • Processing payroll and manage debt principal and interest allocations
  • Implement and maintain accrual-based revenue recognition processes
  • Set up and clear receivables based on payments for different business models
  • Recognize fees associated with revenue across various income streams
  • Manage wholesale receivables and complex revenue timing differences
  • Work with point of sale systems for restaurants and bars
  • Handle e-commerce transactions through Shopify and other platforms
  • Prepare financial reports and ensure accuracy of all bookkeeping processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, with exposure to multiple industries
  • Strong understanding of modified accrual accounting principles
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Wave accounting software
  • Payroll system experience, ideally Paycom
  • Experience with point of sale systems and e-commerce platforms like Shopify
  • Ability to manage complex revenue recognition processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple accounts efficiently
  • Good communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders
