This position is for an individual who can expand and optimize our data and how it is delivered and presented. The Data Analyst/Engineer will be a complementary part of our team of software engineers that utilizes data and visualizes them for the meaningful use of others.

This position will be working in a dynamic growing environment with an opportunity to make a large impact at various levels of web and mobile development with enterprise companies. We are not building 99 cent apps for the app store; our projects are web and mobile solutions for large enterprises that impact the lives of millions of people. This position will work closely with our experienced architects, developers, and project managers to contribute to successful projects.

  • Acquire, handle and process data to increase product value and customer experience.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements.
  • Build the infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, structure and normalization as needed from a variety of data sources using relational and non-relational databases and big data technologies.
  • Assist in optimizations for performance and operational improvements within the existing product infrastructure
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on stakeholder needs
  • Utilize statistics and data models to develop meaningful and visual information.
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Provides the necessary maintenance and support as necessary
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
  • Coordinate and align with the designers to match visual design intent
  • Temporary Work-from-Home arrangement

Minimum Qualifications

  • Exceptional analytical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • 1-3+ years fundamental experience in data analysis, data manipulation, object-oriented design, data structures, and problem-solving.
  • Education: degree in Math, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven working experience in data analysis and scripting languages.
  • Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of Python, R, Matlab, query authoring (SQL) and/or Javascript.
  • Knowledge/experience with development technologies, frameworks and libraries primarily React, Node.js and REST API is a plus.
  • Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development is a plus.
  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
  • Familiarity with source code management, such as Git.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and team collaboration.
