Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct design engineering for façade systems and provide build-ability consultancy, incorporating material knowledge and installation techniques.
  2. Perform detailed engineering computations and structural analysis specific to façade elements.
  3. Advise clients on façade design considerations, providing comprehensive reporting on building projects.
  4. Ensure compliance with weatherproofing requirements, detailing solutions according to manufacturer recommendations.
  5. Oversee the preparation of all façade documentation, including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  6. Review contractor submissions, including shop drawings and calculations, to ensure adherence to design intent.
  7. Manage projects from inception to completion, including administration and coordination of project activities.
  8. Foster relationships with clients and industry contacts, representing the company's expertise in façade engineering.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  1. Timely completion of façade design engineering tasks, meeting project milestones.
  2. Accuracy of engineering computations and structural analyses for façade elements.
  3. Client satisfaction ratings based on the quality of façade design advice and reporting.
  4. Compliance with weatherproofing standards and effective implementation of recommended solutions.
  5. Efficient production of façade documentation, minimizing errors and revisions.
  6. Contractor submissions reviewed within specified timeframes, with high levels of accuracy.
  7. Successful project management, including adherence to budgetary constraints and reputation.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience as a Façade Design Engineer.
  3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Proficiency in report writing, with a focus on technical documentation.
  5. Strong knowledge of façade performance solution design and documentation, compliant with NCC2022 and the Building Commissioner's Handbook.
  6. Experience in condensation modeling using WUFI software.
  7. Familiarity with façade fire rating requirements and reporting procedures.
  8. Competence in developing performance solutions to meet F3P1 standards.
  9. Expertise in façade analysis and modeling engineering software such as STRAND7, SPACE GASS, MathCAD, and CAD such as AutoCAD and Rhino.
  10. Thorough understanding of relevant Australian Standards, including AS1170, AS3600, AS3700, AS4100, AS4654.2, AS1288, AS3500, AS1664, and NCC2022.
