What’s The Role All About?

The Pricing Specialist plays a key role in maximizing the company’s passenger revenues by developing competitive and accurate fare structure and tactical pricing. This includes analyzing competitor pricing and market trends to ensure pricing decisions are data-driven and aligned with revenue goals. The Specialist proactively adjusts pricing strategies to ensure fares remain competitive across all Origin-Destination pairs, while maintaining alignment with the company’s market positioning to optimize revenue performance.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • College or University Graduate (Preferably Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Business Management or other technical/quantitative field)
  • Exposure and experience in airline transportation, hotel or supply chain pricing or revenue management pricing is preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of data analytics/ business intelligence
  • Familiarity with revenue management strategies, airline fare structures, ticketing systems, dynamic pricing, market segmentation, competitive pricing analysis, and market positioning.
  • Above excellent, mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to assess complex pricing scenarios and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to monitor and react to market trends and competitor pricing to ensure the company’s pricing remains competitive and aligned with business objectives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate pricing strategies and insights to various stakeholders, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

Major Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue and market share
  2. Analyze market demand, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to adjust fare levels dynamically.
  3. Identify opportunities for promotional fares or adjustments based on trends and business goals.
  4. Track competitors' pricing strategies, promotional activities, and market positioning.
  5. Recommend competitive pricing adjustments to maintain competitiveness in the market.
  6. Work with Marketing to align promotional campaigns and fare offers with revenue objectives.
  7. Provide detailed reports and insights to management, highlighting the impact of pricing decisions and recommending adjustments.
  8. Ensure all pricing and fare rules comply with government regulations and industry standards.
  9. Monitor and report any discrepancies in fare filings or distribution.
  10. Continuously monitor route performance, load factors, and booking trends.
  11. Make real-time adjustments in fares to respond to changing market conditions.
