- Specialist in a production, product or subject area.
- Customer support in relation to CIS content enquiries, recording and reporting to identify changes in user needs.
- Current awareness of industry and content developments to our internal and external users
- Participation in content reviews.
- Weekly production and testing of CIS indexes.
- Contribute to product development including content research, and product/user analysis
- Involvement in improvements to content workflows and processes for efficiency, quality and consistency.
- Participation in product testing and quality control.
- Administration, research, special projects as agreed with the Knowledge and Information Manager.
- A graduate of any four-year course.
- Ideally with 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
- Must be able to start working and undergoing training right away.
- Must be willing to work in night shift (4pm- 1am).
- Information handling skills – cataloguing, classification, indexing and abstracting.
- Library, information and knowledge technologies.
- Thorough understanding of copyright, intellectual property and licensing.
- An understanding of how to select and manage documents which form part of a collection.
- The structure and organization of technical information and its application.
- PC knowledge – Internet search engines, database experience, MS Office basic.
- Meticulous and strong attention to details.
- Professional communication (written & verbal).
- Document/publications handling experience including selecting, maintaining, and archiving.
- Experience of some or all of standardization, regulations, and contracts publications.
