Project Overview
Our client, a leading consulting firm, is seeking a logistics and transportation expert with a strong understanding of the Philippines market. The ideal talent will augment the current team and actively contribute to project execution and delivery, rather than providing high-level advisory input.
This role is part of a large multi-year transformation program, focused on driving process efficiency, optimizing operations, and implementing key logistics and transportation initiatives. The experts will work within an existing transformation team to deliver measurable improvements.
Project duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
This opportunity is ideal for practitioners who can execute and deliver, working hands-on as part of a team to drive measurable improvements in logistics and transportation efficiency.
What you will be doing
Warehouse & Logistics Expert (10-15+ years experience)
• Apply expertise in warehouse operations in the Philippines.
• Lead warehouse process transformation projects, focusing on productivity, throughput, and operational efficiency improvements.
• Implement Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to enhance processes and reduce order processing time.
• Lead automation initiatives, including robotics, AI-driven inventory management, and IoT solutions.
• Support customer service process improvements within warehouse operations.
Transportation Expert (10-15+ years experience)
• Apply expertise in transportation (land) operations in the Philippines.
• Develop and support transportation strategies, including own fleet, third-party outsourcing, and partnerships.
• Contribute to vendor selection, mode planning, dispatch management, event monitoring (Track & Trace), contract management, payments, and transporter performance management.
• Implement Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to improve service levels.
• Support customer service process improvements related to transportation.
Your background
• 10-15+ years of hands-on experience in warehouse operations and/or transportation management in the Philippines.
• Proven track record in delivering and executing logistics and transportation projects—not just advisory experience.
• Experience working with leading logistics firms such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, or local Philippine logistics companies.
• Must have deep knowledge of the Philippines logistics and transportation industry.
• Working-level understanding of WMS/TMS technologies; full-scale implementation experience is a plus.
• Experience working in similar markets such as Indonesia is desirable.
• Consulting experience is beneficial, but strong operational execution expertise is a must.
