The Finance Supervisor assists the Finance Manager in managing the end-to-end financial functions in SharePro. He/she is also responsible for the monthly closing of accounting books and preparation of financial reports, supporting schedules and other general accounting functions. He/ she also assists in management reporting including preparation of budget vs actual reports and other assigned management reports.
KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. General Accounting
Ensures proper documentation before posting transactions in Accounting System
Prepares Journal Vouchers to adjust entries and ensures that all transactions are correctly recorded in the books.
Assists the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly financial reports (e.g. P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows)
Creates monitoring files/assists in preparing reports such as bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, intercompany recon, etc. for monitoring of accounts
2. Tax and Other Regulatory Reporting
Reviews regular tax returns (Income Tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) and ensures that tax dues are adequately prepared and filed and paid on time to avoid penalties
Reviews taxes, permits and dues to LGUs and other regulatory bodies (i.e. business permit, RPT, etc.)
Handles tax assessments/audits in coordination with Legal team
Prepares financial statements and other reports for submission to regulatory bodies/agencies (e.g. SEC).
3. Management Reporting
Assist in the preparation of management reports, including variance analysis and financial performance metrics.
Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support decision-making.
4. Systems and Procedures
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
Implement and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
Train and mentor accounting staff on best practices and process improvements.
5. Administrative
Supervises the day-to-day activities of accounting analysts and ensures that deliverables are met
Maintains the cleanliness and security of all files and documents, especially confidential ones, equipment and its peripherals, and the Finance office as a whole.
Requests for the office supplies requirements of Finance team. Monitor, control and safekeep supplies.
Ensures all documents are properly safely kept and filed accordingly. Designing a filing system for easy retrieval of documents
Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time
