The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Paralegal Officer to join the team and support the organization’s legal and compliance functions. This role is essential in ensuring that internal customers align with and adhere to laws, regulations, and requirements set by government agencies and mandatory private collaborators. The Paralegal Officer will also provide legal and administrative support to the Department Head and Lawyers, contributing to the efficiency and compliance of the organization.
What’s The Role All About?
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Conducts legal research to identify relevant laws, jurisprudence, rules, and regulations affecting the hospital and its affiliates, ensuring compliance with government policies.
- Assists in preparing legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and opinions to support the hospital’s legal needs.
- Records, organizes, and tracks cases, disputes, and legal matters involving the hospital, ensuring proper documentation and follow-ups.
- Works with judicial, quasi-judicial, and administrative bodies, as well as local government units and external regulatory agencies, to support legal and compliance processes.
- Responds to legal inquiries from hospital departments, provides legal opinions, and assists in resolving complaints, disputes, and compliance issues.
Who Are We Looking For?
An effective Paralegal Officer must possess the following skills:
- Legal Research: Ability to identify and apply relevant laws and regulations.
- Written Communication: Proficiency in drafting legal documents clearly and concisely.

Must be a degree holder in law or Juris Doctor with at least two (2) years of significant legal-related work experience. preferably, with at least four (4) years of Paralegal experience in a full-service law firm.
