The Netbank Head of Fintech & Networks will lead one of the four business lines of the bank. He/she will have primary responsibility for:

Ideating products for Networks and Fintech partners, which should include:

  • International remittance companies seeking to disburse to client accounts
  • Neobanks

Smaller banks

Customer servicing to these clients

  • Cross-sell and up-sell
  • Customer service, etc.

The Netbank Head of Fintech & Networks should:

  • Develop the product
  • Identify technical capabilities needed by the target clients
  • Determine pricing structure
  • Design a self-service process for smaller clients and a relationship-based onboarding process for larger clients
  • Ensure legal processes, terms and conditions, etc., align with regulations and are simple for clients to onboard
  • Identify partners who can bring capabilities needed by the target clients (payment channels, etc.)
  • Oversee servicing activities for these clients
  • Identify innovations that would allow the clients to offer a wider range of services, such as:
  • Client notification
  • Content on dashboards
  • Identification of ‘senders’
  • Incorporation of ‘Paygate’

Identify Clients

  • Maintain deep awareness of the fintech marketplace in the Philippines and regionally to understand which payment companies and fintechs are considering the Filipino market
  • Raise awareness of Netbank in the regional fintech market through exposure in regional fintech festivals, online marketing, content marketing, etc.
  • Develop content marketing material and sales material to explain the advantages of Netbank
  • Proactively approach target clients and build relationships with payment processing teams

Help Clients Onboard

  • Brainstorm payment flows and product design with partners to identify solutions. These solutions are likely to include:
  • Payment flows
  • Mechanisms to manage client accounts
  • Custom API design
  • Integration with core banking systems
  • Develop roadmaps for implementation that move clients rapidly to MVP / pilot
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract negotiations with clients
  • Design technical projects to onboard clients, working closely with the IT team

Innovate the Offering

  • In addition to the core service offering, Netbank may be in a position to provide additional services to partners, such as:
  • Payments through additional channels
  • Bill payment
  • Cash collection from additional channels
  • Tokenization
  • The position holder will conduct cost-benefit analysis of these different potential services and identify a roadmap for product expansion
  • Lead in creating partnerships with third parties able to provide these services

Expand Client Services

  • Work with existing clients to understand the development pipeline and identify ways that Netbank can service these client needs
  • Propose product innovation to existing clients, which may include accounts, additional payments processes, payments, cards, etc.
  • Identify cost benefits of additional services for target clients to convince them to use Netbank more

Manage the Team

  • We expect the Head of Fintech & Networks Business to operate a semi-autonomous team providing complete services to the target clients. This will require him/her to identify team members and scale up the team as demand from partners expands.

The position will be based in Manila, but remote working is possible. It is a senior position and will report to the founders of Netbank but is expected to operate independently. He/she should work closely with the Head of Neobanks and Fintech.
