We are seeking a skilled Network Security Analyst with a strong focus on Forti, Palo, Cisco, technologies to join our security team.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Network Security Analyst. The Network Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and maintaining the security of our network systems. Daily tasks include performing network administration, cybersecurity measures, network and information security tasks, and troubleshooting any security issues that arise. The role will also involve developing and implementing best practices for network security to protect sensitive data and prevent cyber threats.
Qualifications
- Network Administration and Troubleshooting skills
- Experience in Cybersecurity and Network Security
- Knowledge of Information Security principles and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Configure, manage, and maintain FortiGate firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Implement and manage security policies, access controls, and VPN configurations within Fortinet environments.
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts, identifying and mitigating potential threat
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps and recommend mitigations.
- Work closely with IT teams and security engineers to develop and enforce network security best practices.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing forensic analysis and documenting findings.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and Fortinet updates.
- Provide support and guidance on Fortinet-based security solutions to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Assist in compliance audits and regulatory assessments related to network security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on FortiGate technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Firewall technologies and Endpoint Protection
- Strong experience in firewall rules, IPS/IDS, SD-WAN, SSL/IPSec VPNs, Web Filtering, and Application Control.
- Experience deploying and managing virtual firewalls
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Benchmarks.
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with SIEM solutions, SOC operations, and threat intelligence is a plus.
- Fortinet certifications or other firewall equivalent such as NSE4, NSE5, NSE7 are highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cloud security solutions and integrations with Fortinet technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with zero-trust architectures and micro-segmentation.
- Certs in Pen testing, OSCP, deemed advantageous.
