Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled and adaptable Bookkeeper to join our client’s team in a part-time capacity. In this role, you’ll be the financial backbone for multiple entities, including a well-known charity, managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and ensuring accurate financial records. You’ll work primarily with Xero, handling everything from transaction coding to report generation. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities using Xero

  • Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain data integrity
  • Collaborate with external accountants, preparing necessary financial data for reporting and compliance
  • Adapt to varying workloads across different entities, prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Ensure all financial records are kept up-to-date and compliant with relevant standards
  • Assist in streamlining financial processes across the network of organizations

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software; certification is a plus but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle tasks across multiple entities
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Adaptability to handle fluctuating workloads and changing priorities
  • Basic understanding of Australian accounting principles and practices
